By using only the best of what latest technology offers, we are able to guarantee, that your monthly energy expenditure will stay in the realm of hundreds of Czech Crowns. Heating, cooling and hot water production is provided by a heat pump, connected to 14 geothermal bore holes, of total depth only a little shy of 2 km, and photovoltaic rooftop panels. In summer, instead of relying on A/C units, we utilize ceiling cooling systems, collect rain water and enjoy the improved insulation properties of our green roof and facade. Eco-Friendly is no marketing jargon, when it comes to living in Wechův Dvůr, and all of our residents benefit from that equally.
We do not “invest”, we build a home for our families, friends and seekers of prestigious living standards. We honor lasting values and insist on strict quality standards. For this reason, we spared no effort, missed no detail, when designing the project of Wechův Dvůr Residence. Each individual material was chosen based on its excellence, but we also looked for nature-friendly technologies that would maximize energy self-sufficiency. We decided to reach out and partner up with the award-winning architecture studio DRNH from Brno, and they created a design that shows great deal of respect towards the local landscape. For, you see, we truly want to fulfill our vision of premium living — in all of its aspects.
My grandpa, once a classmate of “Tommie” Baťa, as he used to call him, adhered to his life-long philosophy, that even those inaccessible parts of furniture you can’t see must be built properly. That buying cheap things is ultimately not really profitable, and everything you do, you should do with honest effort. And also, when doing something meant for others, one really ought to do it just as well, as if they did it for their own sake. It is indeed the very same philosophy Steve Jobs imbued his little kingdom of Apples with, and I became his fan. And WECHŮV DVŮR RESIDENCE shares this DNA as well. I’m really glad I was there to witness its birth. My grandpa would have been glad too, to see his life-long philosophy live on, even though it’s becoming more and more rare, in this fast-pace consumer-based society of ours.
Wechův Dvůr is a unique project, within the Czech Republic rather unheard of, that can promise both life in the city center and life in the center of greenery at the same time. The project is set between two of the most beautiful gardens of UNESCO World Heritage Sites – Květná and Podzámecká gardens. This inspired us to opt for premium materials and technology that unites functionality with nature.
